The Scot Trader is a painting of an historical interpreter I saw the The Rendezvous at the Fort. The Tesoro Cultural Center hosts many historical events there and elsewhere in Colorado to help teach and preserve the history of the Native Americans and the brave frontiersmen who came out West to forge a life on the plains. The interpreters having been studying and teaching this for 20 to 30 years and the accuracy of their clothing and their knowledge  is amazing.  This character was a pre-Bents Fort Trader who brought manufactured goods from the East to trade with the Plains Indians and other settlers. Plus, their characters are very fun to paint!
