I could have titled this Thomas the Tank's Brother for now I know where he got that smile. This steam engine sits at the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad Depot in Antonito, Colorado. It was built in 1880 and then refurbished in 1928 as a narrow gauge so it could be used to go thru the mountains, gorges and passes on its trip from Antonito to Chama, New Mexico. I love painting trains especially this silver engine shining in the bright Colorado sun. And thanks to Zach Mascarenas for the wonderful photograph and permission to paint it.
